Welcome to Department of Basic Science at Sri Ranganathar Institute of Polytechnic, Coimbatore. The Department of Basic Science being the foundation of Diploma is responsible for strengthening the very first understanding of the engineering profession that binds subjects of universal application such as English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

The Department of Basic Science at SRIPC offers the bridge courses in Chemistry, English, Mathematics and Physics to help the engineering students get tuned to the specialized Diploma domains. In addition, the department coordinates a smoother transition of our novice Diploma aspirants from the academic setting they experienced at 10th level for 1 St year and 12 th level for lateral entry to the study ambience they will encounter in their undergraduate Engineering and Technology course.
