To produce qualified mechanical engineers to meet the industrial demands and social needs.
PO1 Basic and Discipline specific knowledge:Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
PO2 Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO3 Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
PO4 Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
PO5 Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
PO6 Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
PO7 Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes
In all fields of technology, Mechanical Engineering finds its application. Mechanical Engineering is to be one of the most demanded and high-class courses in the engineering sector. Therefore, mechanical trade is referred to as Evergreen (branch). It is one of the primitive engineering industries that has always been and still remains in demand. The greatest part of mechanical engineering combining is the design and development of mechanical systems such as automotive parts, robots, etc.
Mr.S.Prakash, ME.
While academic excellence is our major thrust, the department is also devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We constantly endeavour to always live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the students grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed to pass out as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life.
